Tom Lee: ERC-8004 to Provide Powerful Use Case in AI Agent Security Field
BlockBeats News, January 28th - In response to the upcoming Ethereum AI Agent new standard ERC-8004, BitMine Chairman Tom Lee stated that AI agents will bring security concerns in the future, and the agent system will operate outside the "walled garden" of its existing system. How can real-world systems determine if instructions are genuine? The smart contract blockchain can serve as a place to prove the command's origin and record payment behavior for final settlement, which seems to be a powerful Ethereum use case. Ethereum is the only smart contract platform with 100% uptime since its inception, and 100% uptime is crucial.
Earlier today, Ethereum officially announced that the ERC-8004 standard is about to go live on the mainnet. By enabling a discovery mechanism and portable reputation, ERC-8004 allows AI agents to interact across different organizations, ensuring reputation flows everywhere, thus unlocking a global AI service interoperability market.
